THE HISTORY
- The Autocar Performance Show was set up in 2005 and has grown bigger and better over the past four years with larger brands attending and the crowd figures swelling.
- The first show was held at the Nehru Centre, Worli but due to the overwhelming response to the event the site was changed to the MMRDA Grounds, Bandra Kurla Complex to accommodate the ever increasing crowd.
SUMMARY OF THE SHOW
- Over 70,000 people attended the event.
- Show was inaugurated by Sumit Bali, Chief Executive Officer of Kotak Mahindra and Hormazd Sorabjee, Editor of Autocar India.
- Audi had on display the R8 spyder V10 and the RS5.
- On display, the Chevrolet Cruze winner of the World Touring Car Championship ‘11
- Official F1 Renault car RS27 was present at the APS ’11.
- BMW Motorad HP2 sport, the only bike in India was present at the APS ’11.
- The supercar gallery had on show the Ferrari 348 and the Mercedes SLS AMG.
- Jaguar showcased the XKR-S Coupe.
- Aston Martin with their Rapide and V8 Vantage participated for the 1st time in the APS’11.

- For the first time Maruti participated by bringing in its popular Autocross competition to Mumbai with APS as platform.
